Saving the crane

How a community in Kenya has protected a wetland and saved a population of endangered cranes.

George Ndung’u Muigai is the founder of Crane Conservation Volunteers. Since April 2015 George and these volunteers have been working with the community around Lake Ol’ Bolossat to share the importance of cranes and to develop ways that community members can coexist with the cranes. George is passionate about conserving threatened species around this important lake ecosystem.
