Regenerative farming in Cambridgeshire
Farming can contribute to climate change, but there is a solution….
Carbon Neutral Cambridge (who organised the Zero Futures Symposium in May 2019) have worked closely with local farmers to share practical solutions to climate change and biodiversity loss. With funding from South Cambridgeshire District Council and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Independent Commission on Climate, they have produced a film following five local commercial farmers and how they are adapting their farming practices to help cut carbon and double nature. If you would like to regenerate your soil health, have an interest in where your food comes from and how it can be grown in a more sustainable way. Watch the following film to find out more.

Carbon Neutral Cambridge is a not-for-profit community-based organisation, focussed on accelerating the transition to fair and healthy carbon neutrality within the Greater Cambridge region.
South Cambridgeshire District Council
The District Council‘s vision is to lead the transition to low carbon living in South Cambridgeshire. The Council’s Zero Carbon Strategy aims to:
- Put its own house in order, so it is an example to others, and work with partners to encourage the adoption of its own high ambitions at scale;
- Look at all of its work through a green and fair lens, promoting innovative low carbon solutions that also address problems of fuel poverty and lack of access to affordable housing and good public transport;
- Encourage low carbon energy generation in the district in suitable settings;
- Be ambitious in its support of new woodland, which will helps to double nature as well as reach net zero carbon
