Serena - Action for conservation youth speaker

Serena

Serena is 16 years old and from Kent. She is a passionate climate activist and has helped coordinate climate strikes in her hometown and recently organised a student climate conference at her high school. In addition to participating in the youth climate strikes, she has been involved in the Environment Bill Mass Lobby, Chris Packham’s Peoples Walk for Wildlife and various activities with Extinction Rebellion Youth. She has volunteered on marine restoration projects and participated in workshops to explore how young people can best influence corporations. As a member of the Youth Leadership Group for the Penpont Project she has focussed on shaping the research and restoration, finance and outreach elements. In her spare time she enjoys seeing friends and playing volleyball.

Her reason for optimism: "My reason for environmental optimism is the beauty and strength found in both nature and the amazing people who work to protect and innovate in it."
